How did Torch Valley Country Retreats get started?

Torch Valley Stock Farm has been in the Lidster family since 1927. Over the years, the family has been associated with many facets of agriculture, forestry and the environment. It was natural that the tradition of Lidster hospitality would expand into an ecotourism focus.

Torch Valley Country Retreats is celebrating its 10^th anniversary in 2003.

We are continually developing practices on our farm which support and illustrate sustainability in agriculture and conservation of our natural habitat. We are pleased to be an accredited ecotourism property and are a member of the Ecotourism Society of Saskatchewan.
